I got to the beach just as Chris was packing up as the wind had picked up too much for him. It was really gusty, anything between 16 and 25 knots, so I rigged my 5.7m and got out there. It was fine once I was on the water. Occassionally a little under powered, occassionaly maxed out but most of the time just right.

Nothing too exciting, just the usual blasting back and forth with a gybe at either end. Tried one duck gybe again and got pretty close, and did a few nice slam gybes too.

The Coastguards seemed to be having a practise session as well, with the RAF helicopter buzzing pretty low around the estuary, a lifeboat whizzing about and a few coastguard landrovers on the beach...And men in bright yeelow coats everywhere. I played around overtaking the lifeboat for a bit and jumping off its wake, but stayed out of their way most of the time.

Not a bad little after work session.
